CSE works with clients in the insurance industry to independently investigate damage to commercial and residential buildings and determine causes, soundness of the remaining structure and potential for repair. Our team performed numerous inspections for water and wind damage in the aftermath of hurricanes and super-storms in 2011 and 2012; and we regularly assess fire damage in commercial buildings and private homes as a part of an overall insurance investigation. A key part of this work is determining what damage was directly caused by the weather or fire event. CSE also undertakes comprehensive condition assessments of structures to determine the practical design and financial starting points for repairing or replacing a damaged structure. CSE’s detailed reporting helps support insurance companies’ decision-making process, and our team can also provide expert testimony for resulting mediation or legal proceedings.
